Restaurant POS System in Saudi Arabia
TasteIQ is restaurant POS software with one flat annual price per outlet. In Saudi Arabia the first question is tax compliance, so this guide explains ZATCA e-invoicing in plain terms before it covers features.
ZATCA e-invoicing: Phase 1 and Phase 2 in plain terms
Phase 1, the generation phase, has applied since December 2021 and requires invoices to be generated and stored electronically rather than on paper or handwritten. Phase 2, the integration phase, goes further: the invoicing solution must integrate with ZATCA's Fatoora platform, issue invoices in a prescribed format and include additional fields.
Phase 2 is rolled out in waves of taxpayers, and ZATCA states that it will notify each targeted wave in advance, at least six months before its integration date. If your business falls in a wave, a POS that cannot integrate by that date puts you at risk of non-compliance, so ask for the vendor's integration status in writing.
What to ask a POS vendor before you buy
Ask whether the system is integrated with Fatoora and for which wave, whether invoices carry the QR code and required fields, how credit and debit notes are handled, and what happens if the platform is unreachable at the counter. Ask for the answers in writing, with the date.
Where TasteIQ stands
TasteIQ has not published a ZATCA Phase 2 (Fatoora) integration yet. If you are in or near an integration wave, do not choose a POS that cannot meet your date; ask us for the current status, and use a solution already integrated with ZATCA if your wave is imminent.

How we write these guides
Each guide is written for the place it covers. We link to the official platforms, note where sources disagree rather than guess, and do not quote fees or wave dates, because they change by notification. We do not publish customer counts or reviews we cannot show you.
Do you run outlets in a city we have not covered yet? Message us on WhatsApp and we will tell you honestly whether TasteIQ fits, and add the city if there is demand.
